All our detailed comments are <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/veganfinance.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2023-Vegan-Finance-comments-on-USDA-Child-Nutrition-Programs-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">ici<\/a>. We are grateful that Friends of the Earth has prepared science-based arguments for this work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Year 2021<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#00a30a\" class=\"has-inline-color\">26 November 2021:<\/span><\/strong> Vegan Finance LLC answered to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/law\/better-regulation\/have-your-say\/initiatives\/12950-Animal-welfare-revision-of-EU-legislation_en\" target=\"_blank\">public consultation on the EU Animal welfare rules<\/a>.  Our answers can be downloaded <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/veganfinance.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/2021-11-26-Vegan-Finance-LLC-answer-to-EU-Public-Consultation-on-Animal-Welfare-Laws-Contribution2b2174b9-1ff5-47da-94b3-9f72b4e9a4c0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">ici<\/a>. Please feel free to copy and\/or adjust them. The consultation is opened also to non-EU participants, individuals or organizations. Answering to the consultation takes about 15 minutes. It requires creating an account but this can be made quickly and automatically through your Facebook, Twitter or Google account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NB: from the first page, click on the yellow button &#8220;Go to consultation&#8221;, then it opens another page, then click on the yellow button &#8220;Respond to the questionnaire&#8221;.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#00a30a\" class=\"has-inline-color\">07 July 2021:<\/span><\/strong> Vegan Finance LLC answered to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fsb-tcfd.org\/publications\/\" target=\"_blank\">TCFD public consultation<\/a> on Climate-related Metrics, Targets, and Transition Plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vegan Finance LLC strongly agreed the following changes: the term \u201ccarbon-related assets\u201d should be expanded to agriculture and food groups); banks, asset managers, and asset owners should disclose financed emissions. VF recommended two additional metrics:<br>1\/ Investments in livestock farming should be disclosed since livestock farming accounts for 14.5% of Global Emissions. (disclosure of shares, absolute value, targets, historical performance)<br>2\/ Harmful impact on biodiversity should be disclosed as terrestrial and marine ecosystems currently absorb roughly half of manmade carbon emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><!--<strong><span style=\"color:#00a30a\" class=\"has-inline-color\">18 June 2021:<\/span><\/strong> Vegan Finance LLC participated to the <strong>VEGAN FINANCE WEBINAR <\/strong>organized by <strong>ESSEC business school <\/strong>\"From Animal Welfare Awareness to Vegan Finance\" : \"Vegan Rating Methodology and Challenges\". --><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#00a30a\" class=\"has-inline-color\">January 2021:<\/mark><\/strong> Vegan Finance LLC is very pleased to welcome a <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#00a30a\" class=\"has-inline-color\">new volunteer<\/mark> that will help to analyze and rate US listed companies from the S&amp;P500. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Year 2020<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#00a30a\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>August 2020:<\/strong><\/mark> In a public consultation <strong>Vegan Finance LLC <\/strong>has proposed to the <strong>European Securities and Markets Authority<\/strong> (<strong>ESMA<\/strong>)  <strong>a list of  mandatory indicators<\/strong> and metrics that include the following themes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improvement of <strong>animal welfare<\/strong> (<strong>free-cage<\/strong>, <strong>testing<\/strong>,&#8230;)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduction of <strong>pesticides<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduction of <strong>intensive agriculture <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduction of <strong>fish farming<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduction of <strong>all forms of fossil energies<\/strong> (liquid, gaseous, and solid)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduction of <strong>nuclear energies<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical details to avoid <strong>greenwashing practices<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Biodiversty <\/strong>protection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Plant-based <\/strong>products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Alternatives to animal testing<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Innovations in animal-welfare<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our detailed response to the EU is<strong>&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/veganfinance.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/ESA_ESG_VEGAN_FINANCE_RESPONSEFORM.docx\" target=\"_blank\">ici<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;and now on ESMA <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.esma.europa.eu\/press-news\/consultations\/joint-esa-consultation-esg-disclosures\" data-type=\"page\" target=\"_blank\">website page dedicated to <strong>SFDR<\/strong> (Sustainable Finance <strong>Disclosure <\/strong>Regulation)<\/a>. We have communicated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Arguments to include Animal-welfare topic<\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Proposal of animal-related metrics<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All public Comments on the Exposure Draft Standards are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sasb.org\/standards\/archive\/exposure-draft-standards-public-comments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ici<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: The SASB standards identify <strong>material issues that are reasonably likely to impact the financial or operating performance of a company<\/strong> and therefore are <strong>most important to investors.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#00a30a\" class=\"has-inline-color\">October, 2018:<\/mark> <\/strong>10 months after our letter to the SASB public consultation, the new version of the <strong>SASB standards<\/strong> incorporates <strong>animal-welfare criteria<\/strong>.
